ICU ROOM

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Hong Kong and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Singapore and Taiwan, is a special ward in a hospital for seriously ill patients who require highly intensive medical care. To avoid interference and infection from the outside world, ICUs are designed in an airtight manner, with strict restrictions on visitors’ entry and meeting times.

ICU is equipped with bedside monitor, central monitor, multi-functional respiratory therapy machine, anesthesia machine, ECG machine, defibrillator, pacemaker, infusion pump, micro-injector, tracheal intubation and emergency equipment required for tracheotomy. CCU is one of the specialized ICU, which is specially set up for severe coronary heart disease and is called “Coronary Care Unit”. NICU is the neonatal intensive care center, which is short for neonatal intensive care unit and is a kind of ICU.

In general, critically ill patients with various causes of organ insufficiency can be admitted to ICU:

1. Patients with various causes of shock or serious infection;

2. Patients who need continuous and close monitoring and support of vital indicators after severe trauma or major surgery;

3. Patients who need cardiopulmonary resuscitation during the perioperative period;

4. Patients with one or more organ failure etc. …… Such critically ill patients living in it, as a non-professional medical staff, simply can not provide much help, but may bring a lot of factors that are not conducive to the recovery of the patient’s disease.
